Safe Haven BOM

Each year the quilt group that I go to -- decides on a project to work on. Often we choose a project that benefits the community. This year we decided to do something a little different we decided on a block of the month project. We started with the book "Big Book of Quilt Blocks" from Thimbleberries (we all happen to have the same book so it worked out well) And the quilt we decided on was "Safe Haven" The first block was due in October. (yes I had mine done on time I'm just posting late.) :o}

I saw this quilt several years ago as a block of the month in a quilt shop in Salt Lake and picked up the instructions for a couple of the blocks. Then a couple of years ago Sheri said go buy this book we're making a quilt out of it. (well that didn't happen) Now-- I finally get to make this quilt. Yea!
All of us are trying to use fabric's from our stash. Only purchasing fabric if we need to fill in. So far so good, we will see as the quilt moves on.

Hope you have a great day. :o}

Well knowing you guys and your "stashes" lol maybe you guys should "shop" each other's stashes for a while. :) Good luck with the new quilts!

I really like your color choices.

I was shopping around today for fabric for hotpads. I thought my brain might burst from having to come up with combinations that actually work.
