Lost Quilt

In 2005 Sheri (this old batt) and I were asked to go through a couple of closets at Church and pull out the fabric that had been donated, to see if it could be used for the quilts that we needed to make for the Bishop's Storehouse. (We make 5 each year)
Well we began the task, :o] of pulling out the fabric and to our surprise we found a quilt. Now this was not a new quilt. This was an old quilt about 20 to 30 years old and it was in great condition. However, there was no label or markings. I will tell you both of us were coveting this quilt. :o} I quickly asked several women who where in the building at the time, all didn't know anything about it.
Sheri said, "I want that quilt."
I said, "Sheri you already have quilts from your grandmother, I don't have any."
Sheri said, "OK you can have it." (Yea! :o} )
I took the quilt home and put it in the washer and it came out nice and clean and sweet.

Now I will tell you, I am only the keeper of this quilt. It's really not mine. Perhaps someday, someone will say I wished I never gave that quilt away. And I can say I have it, I've been keeping it for you. :o}
Hope you have a great day.

Wow - that's quite a find. I kinda hope for your sake that nobody ever claims it. It's a beauty!

That's beautiful! I wonder if it came from Sister McInally... when she passed away, her daughter donated boxes and boxes AND boxes of needlepoint, quilt, and other types of crafty stuff to the Relief Society. I remember helping Delva go through a lot of it. Don't remember the quilt, but looks like a style she would have been fond of ... I wonder. Regardless, enjoy a wonderful find!
