planning for the future

I've been seeing some really fun fabrics lately. The problem is they are geared toward girls. (I only have one son) So I would just look at the fabrics and sigh. Then an idea popped into my head buy the fabric now and save it for "future granddaughters"

So I did it -- I bought the fabric -- I love this paper doll fabric.


I played with paper dolls when I was little so I think it will be fun making these and then playing with them some day...

The other project I found was this "sweet pea" baby doll kit. When I first saw it I was very torn. I decided to wait. and then Karen was featured in Fons and Porter and I decided I would add it to my future collection. I'm glad I did. :o} (I told my son I was planning on granddaughters -- he just said no pressure mom. -- now mind you I'm not in a hurry -- I can wait 7 to 10 years)
