Connecting Threads asked me to do this project in flannel. OK -- I don't work with flannel that much. However it worked up nice and easy. the project is called "Stuffed Cubbies" This would make a cute I spy or hunt and seek quilt. You could put a lot of fun prints in this quilt. :o}

This is the catalog picture. this was a group effort I made the top and then off to the long arm and then they have someone who likes to do bindings.

In December I made a pillow for my favorite chair. I liked it so much I decided to take that cover off (put a zipper in the back) and make a cover that would work through the year. I inherited a book from a friend called "If Quilts Could Talk" by Whimsicals -- Terri Degenkolb (I've been to Terri's blog many times) anyway in her book she made a small project called "Big Smile". A wall hanging or table quilt the measures about 12" x 23". Almost the size I need for my pillow form. (12"x22") I cut the back ground piece down by an inch and then put it all together.

Now my chair looks like a happy spot. nice..:o}

zippy bags

I like to have different bags to use for the occasion. I decided to try making a small bag that I can use for everyday. So the search began for just the right pattern. I found one and made it up. But when it was done it went into the donation bag. (just didn't like the results) Then I came across the pattern Zippy Strippy by Atkinson Designs. I like the Atkinson pattern line the patterns are great and more important I like the results.

Now if you have this pattern or have made this pattern you know that my bags are a little different then the original design. I wanted a bag that was a little more square and it needed a handle. So with a few changes I have a bag that's just right. I made 2 one to keep and one to give away.

Pillow project

A few weeks ago I stopped over at Carrie's blog I like to check in on Rosie. (I have a soft spot for dogs and cats featured on different blogs) any way Carrie had just posted a cute project for a pillow. I have the prefect chair for this pillow. So I went home and started working on it.

I used Christmas fabric for this one and I just happened to have a border print left from another project. :o} also I put a zipper in the back so I can use the same pillow form over and over.

This is one of my favorite chairs. This is where I sit and do my hand work. And the pillow is just the right size for this chair.

Christmas Quilt

Every time I see a quilt with presents on it I buy it or tear the pages out from the magazine or print it from a blog. I saw a pattern similar to this one on "Sew We Quilt" a few weeks ago. I decided it was time I made my quilt so I gathered all of my patterns and the fabric I wanted to use and to my surprise the fabric (which came from Carrie of Schibbles fame It was a prizes from the "Schibbles Parade" I did last year) well the fabric was designed by Kate Spain and for some reason I had her pattern called "Flurry" it was meant to be. :o}

This is how it turned out I have it on my bed. it just lightens the whole room.

I don't do this very often but for this quilt I decided to use a stripe fabric and cut it on the bias. I just happen to have this in my stash.

It looks like a rope of candy cane. :o}

Small project

Another fun project I made for this Christmas is a small tree skirt -- Because I don't have much floor space I went with a 3' tree and put it on a TV tray. I found the pattern for this skirt last year on a Christmas blog hop.

It's called "Crazy Tabletop Tree Skirt"

The problem is I didn't write down the blog where I found the pattern. but it turned out cute and fits the little tree just right. :o}

Monday Mystery #2

The Monday Mystery this time was a table runner.

Just in time for Christmas Cheer.

The only thing is I don't really have a table for putting runners on so I turned mine into a pillow to help decorate my room :o}

Decorating

Decorating for Christmas is a little different this year. Most of my things are packed away in storage and my budget is very tight -- there is one good thing -- my apartment is very small so it wont take much to make it feel like Christmas. I've had some holiday projects that I've been putting off -- so I decided to bring them out and make them up and spread them around. The first project I found in the Nov/Dec 2009 "Love of Quilting" magazine the project was created by Gundrun Erla (I've stopped by her blog several times and even followed a hop or two)

This project is called "Holiday Cheer"

It's about 48" square. I put a sleeve on it to hang in my living room -- it would also make a great table quilt or throw over the back of an over stuff chair.

Winter's office quilt

For the last few years I've been making monthly quilts for the office -- while that has been fun it is also time consuming. I gave thought to just making one and leave it up all year. That really didn't sound to fun -- then I came across a book called "Quilting Quarterly" by Janet Selck. Now that sounds doable 4 quilts for the whole year. I think I can live with that.

This is the quilt for "Winter" and will hang in the office for December -- January -- February

Will see if I can leave it up for 3 months. ;o}

Bed Runners

Have you seen them? I saw my first in a hotel in California. Now they're popping up everywhere patterns and books oh my! Bed Runners are well runners that go at the end of your bed. They're about 20" wide and then the length of your bed not quite to the floor.

Well my friend Pat called and asked if I'd seen them and would I make her some. Well of course I would make some for her. So off to "fabric depot" we went. Now Pat has a thing for Batiks -- she loves them. And she wanted a runner for each season. So I said lets make the runners reversible, after searching through all of our fabric choice we came up with some great combinations.

The idea is to have a plain quilt or coverlet on your bed and then the runner at the foot of the bed to give it the color. It doesn't take as much room to store four runners as it would to store 4 full size quilts and the expense is far less for runners.

After Pat picked them up she called me later that evening and said she tried them all on her bed and loves them. Yea!

Long Arm Convention

Back on October 14th -- Sheri -- Deb and I went to the Portland Convention Center for the MQX West Show (MQX = Machine Quilters Expo) it was fun to drool over ( I mean look at) the quilts on display -- beautiful work. Someday I would like to take some Long Arm classes to learn a few more tricks to use on the Long arm. (some day)
Of coarse there were vendors selling all kinds of gadgets for the long arms. (some day)

One of the vendors was from the sewing machine center here in the Portland area called "Montavilla" so I walked over to take a look -- they had the Pfaff Expression 4.0 (when it came out the price was $3000.00) -- can I just tell you I have been drooling -- no oogling over this machine for quite some time. And saving my quilt money to buy one. (it always seemed that when I had enough, another expense came up that needed to be taken care of) so I just kept saving and watching.

I talked with the manager of "Montavilla" and said what kind of deal can you make and you need to use my "tiptronic 2030" as a trade.....

When it came right down to it they gave me a price I couldn't resist ;o} so I bought it (paid cash -- yea sewing money)

Do you want to see it? ....

It is a way cool machine -- I really like the button features and the hover on the pressure foot. I'm happy with my new Pfaff. Yea!

NW Quilt expo

Back on Sept 24 -- Sheri -- Deb and I went to the Expo center for the "NW Quilt Expo"
Can I just say we had a fun time looking at all of the wonderful quilts and checking out the vendors. But mostly just enjoying the company. :o}
I took a few pictures to share:

The maker of this quilt said she found her grandmother's scraps in the attic and decided to use them in this quilt -- how cool.

I know you can't see it but some of the flowers on this quilt are three dimensional.

When look at this one you can almost here the rooster crow and feel the sun on your face.

The next two are just because they make ya smile. :o}

Halloween quilt

I finally made a Halloween quilt I can be happy with. I've been searching for fabric -- so many happy bright Halloween fabrics -- then I had to decide on the pattern.

I decided to go with this fun pattern -- it only has one block. And works up quick I had the top done in an afternoon. I have seen variations of this pattern -- a few of the names that I have come across are;

Kissin Cousins -- Cheaper by the dozen -- Garden Walk.

Whatever you decide to call it -- it's fun and easy to make.

I thought I would show one more pic' I really like the fabric I pick for the binding -- perfect ending for a fun quilt.

I went through my stash and pull out bear prints -- I just happen to have 6 fat quarters that worked well for this project.

Red Pepper quilt

Last year as I hopped around to different blogs I kept bumping into a really cute quilt called "Bricks and Stones" from Red Pepper quilts. The more I saw it the more I liked it. So I skipped on over to Red Pepper's Etsy and purchased a pattern. Sounds easy enough right? Well here's the thing for some reason I thought the pattern was for a full size quilt and the picture I kept seeing was only a fourth of the quilt -- don't know why I thought this it was just in my head. So when I printed the pattern to my surprise it was for a quilt that was 43" square. This is a picture on the pattern.
It's cute but I kept seeing a full size. So I decided to make 4 quilts and put them together to make one quilt that would fit my bed. This is how it turned out.

I made the white border a 1/2" larger then the pattern called for and the piano key border I made it 3" larger. So the finished size of the quilt is 98" square. (just in case you're wondering the postage stamp center is 1,122 -- 2" squares.) All of the fabric came for my scrap boxes (except the white I had to buy a few yards)

This is how it looks on my bed. I'm liking this quilt I call it "My Red Pepper quilt"

Table Runner

I have a new calling in my new ward. I'm first councilor in the Relief Society. (This is a women's organization)

And the table was bare. Well I couldn't stand by and let a table go bare so I came up with a runner. take a look.

I took a copy of the "seal" and enlarged it until I thought it was a good size and then made an applique pattern and appliqued the seal on to a 16" square. The top block I used 9 patch's in the corners and 4 patches down the middle.

baskets, baskets and more baskets

It seems like babies are popping out all over :o} and that means "baby showers"
when I give a gift I like to come up with a gift that will be the same for each person. (that way I don't have to think about it) over the years I have changed my gifts -- for a very long time I gave bibs made from hand towels with applique pictures on the front. -- then I gave quilts -- and now my gift has changed again. In June I joined in on a quilted basket swap I liked the basket so I decided to make quilted baskets and fill them with diapers. (the pattern is from Greta Gram' blog)

This is the first basket I gave away to a sweet baby boy. :o}

I decided to change the pieced panel every so often

I did a 9 patch on this one.

this basket has been given away too!

This basket went to a sweet little girl.
(I know it's pink)

I had so much red, blue and white fabric I made up
two baskets ready to give away.

This basket I used some of the half square triangle that I

made too many of when I did the "schnibles Picnic" last year

I found this cute pattern for quilted cowboy boots and decided it would be cute to add to the gift. so the last couple of baskets have had a pair along with the gift.

Nine patch quilt

I needed another quilt in a hurry so I took 30 -- 9 patches from my pile and cut them apart and put them together again.

Tyler

Last night was a very hard night. I took my Tyler to the vet and found out that he was very sick. He had developed diabetes and was not in good shape. The vet said I would have to give him 2 shots a day. Tyler was almost 14yrs old. and I know I would not be able to give him shots nor did I want him to be afraid of me because I would be poking him with needles. so I made the hard decision to put him down. (Many tears right here)

Tyler was the best companion

-- loved to play and snuggle -- enjoyed a good quilt.

He will be missed...

July Office quilt

This is my office quilt for July I think of picnics for July and thought this would be a fun reminder of summer.

This is from the "Calendar Quilts" by Kim Schaefer series -- now if you have that pattern you will see I have taken them out of order -- I think she has this quilt for June but around here June is not picnic weather. That's the fun part of doing a series you can pick and choose for what works best for you.

quilted basket swap

The Quilting Gallery had a basket swap in May and they asked if I would join in. Sure no problem.

This is the basket I sent off to my swap person. We used Greta Grama's pattern. The pattern was easy enough to make. and yes I put a few fun things inside. (can't just send an empty basket)

And this is the basket I received... :o}

My basket was made by Karen S of Jamestown NY. Karen went to the Paducah quilt show and picked up the batiks for this basket. nicely done.

Pine Cone Quilt

I had a friend come to me the other day and say, Regena I have some fabric can you use it and make a quilt for me. Sure I say, No problem
Well Kerry finally brings the fabric and it's flannel squares that she used for some other project and then kept them until she came up with the quilt idea. When I first saw what I had to work with and asked her what size quilt she wanted [queen] I said oh my you don't have enough fabric. When I saw disappointment on her face I said don't worry let me worry about it.
I decided to use the pattern "Yellow Brick Road" I added the solids and put it together, it turned out great. :o}

This is a full view (and yes that's Tyler he just had to be in the picture)

I couldn't resist I had to try in on my bed to see how it will look. ;o} (by the way Kerry loves the quilt)

June Office Quilt

Ferdie and Tyler

It's been awhile since I posted pictures of my 4 legged companions so I thought I would share a few pictures.

This is Ferdie relaxing in front of the pellet stove -- I think he's in heaven at this moment -- all toasty and warm. :o}

When I was in the middle of all the packing I turned around and found both Tyler and Ferdie in the buffet. I think they were trying to say don't forget to take us with you. ;o}

This is my new room --I purchased an antique bed frame -- unfortunately it wasn't a standard size frame so all I could use was the head board. it's made of maple and made around the 1920's. I found Ferdi sitting on the little dresser in the corner. he sat there for over an hour.

we have a very small patio (we're on the second floor) I asked my brother if he would make screens for me and he did a wonderful job. now Ferdie and Tyler have another place to hang out in our small "doable" apartment. ;o}

Cover up

In my new apartment my sewing space has down sized from a 10x12 room to 4x 4 space. And my sewing table is right in front of a window. I decided I needed a machine cover. (never mind that my machine came with a hard plastic cover) So I started to look around for patterns or ideas. and decided to just wing it and come up with something on my own. I went to my scrap box and found some star blocks I made for another project and then didn't use and some other bright fun fabrics and this is what I came up with .

I decided to make it different on each side so I could have a change if I wanted. I made 9 patches for this side and then the other side looks like this.

I like both sides and when I'm getting in my car and driving away or coming home I can see it out the window and it looks good.

April Connecting Threads

Yes I know the April catalog came a few weeks ago. but there's been a lot happening around here. (I moved from an 1800 sq foot home to a 700 sq foot apartment this has been a huge change. my son moved with me and we have had to put many things in storage because of the limited space. but the apartment is doable. That's my new mantra "doable")

anyway take a look at my project in the catalog.

I think it's on page 4. I have made up this pattern once before. but it looks nice in this fabric line as well.

this is a simple easy way to use up odds and ends I cut them to 4 1/2" squares and put 11 in each row and make 15 rows.

Disappearing Nine Patch

I tried it and I like it. what did I try well the

"disappearing nine patch"

Last year I did the "Project 9 patch" and made all of the "9's"

that I needed for the challenge (92 of them) but didn't have the time

to do anything with them.

So I got busy and started cutting and sewing. I used 30 of the

blocks in this project. :o}

OK I have a confession to make. ;o] this year I decided not to do any BOM's. I have been tempted in fact I've been following a couple. I have links on my side bar to them. I resisted as long as I could. However this last weekend I gave in. And started the "Fairfield's World BOM"

This is defiantly an intermediate project. My circles are not 100% round but I'm good with that.

Easter is coming!

Easter is late this year -- the last Sunday in April. I like Easter time with all of the flowers. It's a beautiful time of year in the Portland Oregon area.

My "table runner client" said to me a few months back, I can't believe I don't have an Easter runner we need to do something. so off to Fabric Depot we went. She had the pattern so we just needed the fabric. She loves Batiks so that's what we picked for this project and it turned out great.

Sock Monkey series

This time I did a nine patch and quarter square triangles.

I like the on point affect. (This will go to "My Fathers House") I hope it will give someone comfort. (and yes I still have sock monkey fabric left #4 is in the planning stage)

Connecting Threads

There are two kinds of jobs I do for Connecting Threads; Job one is a "test" it's the first time through a pattern and the fabric used is odds and ends. Job two is the real deal "camera ready" using the fabric that you will buy in the kits. This last catalog that came a few days ago I had projects of both kinds. The first project was a "test" and it turned out cute if I had little kids running around I would make one for them.

It's a back pack -- this is definitely not for the beginner (I needed a little help figuring out the pattern -- thanks Sheri) but once it dawned on us what the pattern was saying it worked up great fun project..

I think it turned out cute even if the fabric was odds and ends

The last project was a "camera ready" this project worked up easy enough, if you're comfortable with flat felt seams and french seams. it took longer to make then what you might expect. but easy enough.

March office quilt

Each month I try to come up with a new little wall quilt for the office. I found a new pattern it's called "Calendar Quilts" by Kim Schaefer. The pattern comes with full size layout for each month. The piecing is easy and applique done in no time.

This is the quilt for March

The size is 20"x28"

We don't have red birds around here but we have a lot of flowers so this little quilt said "Spring" to me. This one turned out great so I think I will be making some of the other quilts from this group.

Hearts and Daisys

I wanted a new something for Valentine's this year and I found a cute little wall quilt over @ Bits and Pieces (button on my side bar)

This pattern is called -- helovesmehelovesmenot

I changed it just a little she had a lot of daisy's on the pattern. I enlarged the daisy just a little and then put 3 on each side. I think daisy's say "spring" :o}

Sock Monkey series

Last year I made a sock monkey quilt you can see it here. I made it for one of the Doctors it was her first baby and she likes "sock monkeys". In the process of making that quilt I couldn't decide what to do so every time I went to a store to look for Ideas I bought fabric. (way more then I needed for one quilt)
So I decided to do a series of sock monkey quilts this is #2

I did two blocks a pinwheel and snowball.

I have fabric cut for quilt #3 -- but it must wait I have another Connecting Threads job that needs to be done. ;o}

A while ago (more like a year or two) I found a cute fabric panel, when I come across one of these I think what can I do with this. In a magazine I saw the idea to make them into quilts. I've done this a time or two and they make cute fast quilts. This panel was intended to be a soft book.

I wish I had taken pictures at the start. :o{ any way you cut the pages apart and then put them in order, then sew a sashing around the square or rectangle. I cut my sashing to 2" strips. when I had the rows together I added the first border again 2" strips.

After that first border the quilt need something more I wanted to do a pieced border and looked at many ideas but decided to go with a channeled border. This time I used rectangles instead of squares for the third border. The third border almost looks like a ring of "Life Savers".

I love project bags, I have all kinds and sizes of bags. Some I purchased.

And some I made.

These are made from "pet screen" using the pattern Zip It by screen play. I change the pattern just a little to make it work for me. I have made so many of these I've lost count. I use them and give them away.

Never can have enough. ;o}

Her post was on well project bags. She shared a tutorial on "Snap Bags" using tape measure in the bag. I love this -- need to make this -- so I made one.

(this is not a new to me idea my Aunt made them back in the 70's)

And well 5 tape measures later I made all of these......

So are you asking why so many. When I made the first I got an idea for Christmas so made 6 for that and then thought my quilt group might like one so made 5 for that and then I wanted a couple to use so made a few more. :o}

Back in January I started a project with the intent of giving it to a friend who was moving away. I started and made good progress. Until I thought about the quilt and the person who would receive it. and realized I had the wrong quilt. So I set it aside and found another quilt that suited this person just fine. (I gave it to her and she loved it)

So meanwhile back and the ranch I had an unfinished project haunting me. ;o]

In November I started work on it again -- funny thing is my scraps from when I started are different from the scraps I have now. so this quilt is a very scrappy quilt. ;o]

It's called Shades of Autumn by Carrie Nelson

I think it turned out great and I have a person in mind who might enjoy it.

Sunday bag

I have a Sunday bag that I use to take well Sunday things to church. I have used the same bag for the last 2 or 3 years. It has held up well -- However, I'm ready for a change.

This is the current bag. Yes, it's a Bow tuck by Penny Sturges. And it seems that everyone has a bag like this one. ;o]

So I decided to look through my patterns and fabric for something a little different. I went with the pattern Boutique Shoulder bag by Bella Nonna -- take a look.

I like the fabric and it turned out cute. But, when I loaded it up with scriptures and stuff I just didn't like it. So I put it in the pile for the Bishop's Storehouse to be used for Christmas gifts for others. :o}

And tried again.... This next bag really caught my eye and I had to give it a try.

The pattern is called Sausalito (isn't there a cookie named sausalito?) by A Quilters Dream.
I really like this bag, it's more my style. And when I put Scriptures and stuff in, everything fits just perfect. This one will work for the next year or so....

Ferdie and Christmas

Each year at the Work Christmas dinner we have a gift exchange most of the time the gifts are white elephant or re-gifted items.

Well this year the gift I received was a Christmas village that lights up.. So I took it home and plugged it in -- the next time I looked that direction Ferdie was checking it out.

It almost looks like he's looking in the window at the party going on inside. ;o}

Tree Skirt

I have been looking for the last several years for a tree skirt -- just couldn't find one that worked for me. Until last year, I went for a visit over to Jeri's house. She always has her house decorated so cute, and she always has a project ready to show us when ever we visit. Well last Christmas Jeri made a tree skirt and it was so cute. I thought I need to be on the look out for that pattern. Well fast forward to this Christmas and I still haven't found a pattern, so I asked Jeri if I could barrow hers and well this is my version of the tree skirt.

This is a Scandinavian Traditions pattern called Hearts and Pines.

There are 4 heart and 4 pine blocks and then a La Moyne star in the center.

This is Tyler's favorite spot at Christmas time.

Pillows

I have a client that likes to check out yard sales and garage sales. She likes to pick hand work -- crocheting or tatting what ever strikes her fancy. She's gathered several pieces. She asked me the other day if I could take these different lines and make them into pillows for Christmas gifts. Sure no problem I say. ;o}

I made 9 pillows for her -- take a look..

I decided to make them using an envelop pattern it will make it easy to wash or change the cover when needed.

I started decorating for Christmas a few days ago (OK it was Nov 27th). As I put things out I realized I didn't have very many Christmas quilts or runners or wall hangings. Not sure why, I think by now I'm trying to get orders and gifts done and just didn't have the time to make any. Well I've changed that, I found this quilt pattern in the "Quick Quilts" magazine dec/jan 2011. And decided to make it use Christmas fabric I had on hand.

It looks great on the corner of my bed.

Christmas Stockings

This year for Christmas in the office I decided to change the Christmas decorations a little. I'm going to hang stockings in front of each Operatory and I decided to do it using what I had on hand or what I could find in Deb's stash (she had a lot of Christmas fabric needing a new home and purpose) I needed 5 stockings when I shared this idea with a staff member she said oh can you make 4 for me. sure no problem. All 9 came from what I had on hand-- I think they turned out cute. and will do just fine. Take a look... Tell me what you think...

This is a fun project you can do while watching your favorite TV program. It takes a fat quarter cut to 2" squares. You can find the details over on Knitty Gritty.. I'm going to give these to one of my clients, she loves pine cones and it will make a nice thank you... :o}

This project came from the "FalloWeen" blog hop, Rose Ann from "Rosebud's Cottage gave the how to's for this fun project. She put hers on a jar -- I used a clear paint can found at the local craft store.

I filled it with my chocolate chip cookies and then sent it off -- for thank you gift.

Got Scraps?

If you've been quilting long then you've got scraps. What's really cool is what you can do with them. I think when you make a scrappy quilt it's a great time to spread your wings and let go. Try putting different combination together. The out come might surprise you. :o}

OK now for the fun stuff did you see on my side bar the button for the "Scrap Along". Well Jodi has some fun ideas on what to do with your scraps, you can check out her blog by clicking on that button. But before you go I wanted to tell you one way I organize my odds and ends. When I'm working on a project and I have just a little bit a fabric left I cut it into 4 1/2" squares and then put them in my drawer..

When I need a quilt top done in a hurry no problem I have the cutting done. It takes 165 squares to make a 45" x 60" quilt. That's 11 across and 15 down. It works up quick -- depending on what I have in my drawer I can make a baby quilt or something to give to an adult.

So now for a give away. I have decided to share some of my squares with you. :o}

I have three bags full... You can make a top from these or add some from your stash and make a larger top.

Just leave a comment and one lucky person will get all three bags and maybe a little something thrown in. ;o}

Ohio Barn

Block 9 is done. Yea! :o}

I was a little worried and excited about getting this block. If you have been watching the progress each month the pieced block has been a primary color. The problem is when I finished block 8 I thought what color will I use. Well it was like Rebbecca heard my worries :o}

The block is Grandmother's fan

So I put a color from each of the blocks and it works great. Now the next problem was I was so excited to have it done I forgot to take a picture. I already put the sashing on. (that's why it's a bit wonky)

So now The top is done and I need to get over to the long arm and woo hoo it will be done.

Christmas Stockings

My client in Las Vegas called the other day and asked if I would make a couple of sets of Christmas stockings. Sure no problem I say. (this will make 22 stockings)

This set will be a wedding gift. The heart stocking took a little over 6 hrs to make. :o}

Cover-UP

Sherri and Sinta are having a "cover-up"

They want you to show your ironing board as is and then make a new cover for it.

So here it is... this is the before

Not too bad I just made this cover a few months ago.. My ironing board is not the standard size so I have to make new covers on a regular basis. I wear them out.. (Maybe I need to get a life) :o}

And here is the new......

I had to make a few adjustments on the pattern to fit a wider -- short board -- but it worked just fine. I used the pattern "Patch work Ironing board covers" from Cotton Way.

NW Quilt Expo

On Saturday (9-25) I went to the quilt show with a group of friend. We had fun looking at all of the quilts. WOW there were some beautiful quilts. And then we stopped and looked at the vendor booths and yes we spent money. ;o}

Here are some of the quilts I liked the best: in no particular order..

This one made me laugh when I saw it. Just a fun look and the county fair.

I grew up in a farming community so I had to take a picture of this one.

This reminded me of a friend. Her husband is a great white hunter and fisherman.

This reminded me of my awesome son. (guitar hero want-a-be)

I came around the corner and found this guy looking at me. too cute.

I like this one it reminds me of the North West . (I just like pine cones)

I wish you could see this one up close. it's tiny very tiny log cabins. Holy Cow. that would take a minute to do. :o}

Last "Pay it Forward" I committed to do 3 pay it forwards. The first two were done several months ago. This last one has taken me awhile. I think the reason is I know this person and wanted to make sure the thing I did was just right.

So this is what I came up with.

I came across this pattern in the Fons and Porter magazine -- it had two blocks in the pattern the note and then puss in the corner. I decided to use just the one music block and then add a border to finish it. I hope this friend likes it and enjoys it. :o}

This month we had a choice -- we could do Short Story or Plan C
At first I went with Short Story -- I ordered the pattern when it came I thought cute will make for great baby gift -- but Plan C just kept nagging at me. So I ordered that pattern (for a moment I thought I would do both -- I talked myself out of it) ;O]
